Travel Itinerary for the Week of February 6th!

On Monday, we start off the week in Pennsylvania, USA, where TwinMom112 takes us into the world of twin parenting.  This week she tells us about how she strives to treat her twin daughters as individuals and not as a “team.”

On Tuesday, our founder, Jen Burden, gives us our first inside scoop on the World Moms delegation that headed to Washington, DC last week for the UN Foundation Volunteer Summit for Shot@Life! She got to meet, for the first time ever, 3 World Moms Blog writers!!

Later on Tuesday, Nicole Melancon of Minnesota, USA writes for our Human Rights column and the topic is China’s 1 baby policy.  We are loving this new column!!

On Wednesday, we are in the deep south with Margie Bryant of Arkansas, USA. Guess what, people?  Margie is ENGAGED!  Congratulations, Margie!!  We look forward to hearing all about it!

Travel Itinerary for the Week of January 23rd!

We start off this very multinational week in New York with Allison Charleston, whose family line runs high on girls and low on boys. She tells us about how the behaviour of her son – the only boy in her family – fascinates and amuses her.

On Tuesday, we head north of the border to Canada, to hear from Multitasking Mumma. Do you and your partner have similar parenting styles, or do you have a good-cop-bad-cop kind of setup? This mom tells us what it was like for her growing up, and the challenges faced by many parents today.

Travel Itinerary for the Week of January 16th!

This week we start off with Dee Harlow, who currently resides in Virginia. How many of us stopped working when we had our kids, and several years later went through the angst of re-entering the workforce? This mom is preparing to take the plunge!

On Tuesday, we’ll be in Malaysia with Alison Lee. Many of us have family traditions – little things we do that are meaningful to us in some way. Alison tells us about the role she would like family traditions to have in her life.

Happy New Year and welcome back to our writers and our readers!

We are starting off our first blogging week of 2012 in South Africa, where Mamma Simona talks about New Years resolutions. Do you make them? Do you keep them? This mom tells us her own views and the circumstances in her life that caused her to re-evaluate her priorities.

On Tuesday, we’re in Washington with Tara B., who a while ago entertained us with a post about her quest for domesticity. Now, she tells us how she is finding her inner domestic goddess as she starts to conjure up some delicious meals.

On Tuesday evening, we have a social good post from Nicole @ Third Eye Mom. She talks about fundraising for Nepal and the Shot@Life campaign.

On Wednesday, we head off to Europe, where A Lady In France tells us about her first post-partum OB/GYN appointment. Some aspects of French culture that she discusses may surprise you – only in France!

On Thursday, Jill Barth in Illinois reflects on the fact that after spending treasured time together over the holiday season, families all over the world are returning to their regular routines. She gives us some great pointers on how we can cope with the return to normality, and how we can avoid the let-down that so often happens after a great time.

On Friday, we are in Arizona, where Dr. Jeanelle tells us that there are ways to make New Years resolutions that are achievable. She gives us pointers on how we can set our goals going into 2012, and more important, how we can stick to them.

Travel Itinerary for the Week of December 26th!

Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Happy Holidays! No matter where you are or what you’re doing today, we at World Moms Blog wish you a day full of peace, joy and love.

We are starting off this week in New York, with Maman Aya! In the midst of the festive season, one thing at the forefront of our minds is yummy food! Maman Aya talks about cooking delicious, healthy snacks with her son.

On Tuesday, we are in Canada with Salma. At this time of year, when we are trying to promote peace and goodwill, love and tolerance, Salma is faced with the prospect of her son becoming the “token brown kid”. Read about how she handles it.

Fly with us to South Korea on Wednesday to hear from Ms. V., who gives us a sobering reminder that not every gets to hug and kiss their children. This mom is brave enough to ponder a thought that all of us find unbearable.

On Thursday, we are back in New York, and guess what? Allison Charleston is back! She took a break, and now returns to tell us about an effect of TV on children that has not really been given much attention: it makes them want to want their mothers to buy stuff! Welcome back, Allison!

And on Friday, we will be in New Jersey with World Moms Blog founder Jennifer Burden, who brings us our last regular post for 2011.

We are delighted to offer BIG congratulations to one of our writers, Margie Bryant from Arkansas, who had a Christmas Eve she will never forget.
