This week I joined a group of World Moms Blog contributors who have been trying to live on $1.50 a day for 1 day. One day, turned into the full 5 day challenge for me, and today, Day 5, wasn’t what I expected:

Love you. Well done. xx
Thank you, Karyn. 🙂
Wow, Jen, I cried right along with you. You are so right, there is SO much we take for granted and so many who don’t even have enough of the basics. You are my hero for doing all that you are doing to help make the world a better place. I can’t remember who said this, but it seems relevant – something along the lines of “the Earth has enough for Man’s NEED but not for Man’s GREED”. As John Lennon so aptly described in the iconic song “Imagine”:
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world
You may say
That I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one
I hope some day you’ll join us
And the world will be as one
This is EXACTLY what should happen!
I love that song, Simona. Thanks for sharing it. So perfect.
Jen 🙂
You are such a special person! An inspiration!
Thank you, Jen. Thanks for watching!

Amazing message, Jen! So inspiring. This really moved me in a way just reading about it wouldn’t have. Thank you for really putting it out there,
Tara,
That is exactly how I felt about the challenge. It was presenting the issue to me in a way that I’ve never felt it before. It was really moving. I hope you will consider doing one in the future!
Jen 🙂
Jen, your heart is so big and your commitment is so deep. I’ve been following along and am amazed at what $1.50 a day looks like. For you to do this challenge and then share your feelings about it so honestly is powerful. Good for you, my friend. xx
Robin,
Thank you so much. I really didn’t know what I was getting myself into, but I’m so glad I did it. It was totally not what I expected. Thanks for your support!
Jen 🙂
Wow… Jen. I am sitting here feeling you in a very real way. Thank you for all that you do.
Well done Jen….words that come to mind like blessed, grateful, thankful just to name a few, surely have a much deeper meaning when we just think about how much we have, and just how little others have……thanks for reminding me!
Jen, this made me cry. Such a beautiful experience and cause you are sharing with us. Bless your heart!
