We start the week on Monday in Canada, where Kirsten Jessiman reflects on her parenting skills, a trip back to her homeland of South Africa and most importantly, a commemoration to her late father. You won’t want to miss this moving article, “The Last Piece of the Jigsaw”!
Tuesday, we cross Canada’s southern border and head over to New Jersey, USA, where Veronica Samuels, talks about educational gift ideas for children that foster multiculturalism and global awareness.
Wednesday, we head west back to Ohio, USA where Amy Hillis adds a second part to her adoption story, “Adoption~Journey Past Life Part II.” This time it’s about remembering her grandmother and the positive impact she has had on her life. Another tear jerker!
Thursday, it’s T.V. time with Kally Mocho for a discussion on children and television viewing in the USA. Kally debates her own dependency on children’s programming and is not sure if she can give it up despite her guilt in her article, “T.V.: Friend or Foe?”
Maggie Ellison in South Carolina, USA asks our Friday question this week about things we said we’d never do as mothers, but wound up doing anyway. It should be interesting!

Tuesday, we fly east to New York City, where Allison Charleston gives us a window into the rigorous preschool acceptance procedures to the city’s exclusive preschools in her article, “NYC Preschool Madness”. Come live the city life vicariously through our WMB writer, Allison!
Wednesday, we fly west back to San Francisco, California, USA where, A. Roselyn talks about breastfeeding duration in her piece, “Weaning Baby in San Francisco.” She takes us through her inner-most thoughts and feelings behind her weaning plan for her littlest one!
Then, board a transatlantic flight with us back to Oslo, Norway to check in with WMB writer, Asta Burrows. Asta discovers her feelings on gender roles in her piece, “So What if Your Son Likes Dolls?”
This week’s Friday question is posed by Eva Fannon in Washington, USA. Eva asks, “What is the most requested children’s book in your house right now?” We can’t wait to share all of our WMB writers’ answers with you!

Get ready for another week of travel with World Moms Blog! Here is our itinerary for this week:
On Monday we will take you to Oslo, Norway to check back in with Asta Burrows, who led our launch on day one! Tuesday, we cross the Atlantic to Ohio, USA to meet Amy Hillis, our amazing mom who has survived 3 liver transplants on 3 of her six kids.
Then, on Wednesday, we cross borders again and head to Toronto, Canada to check in with our South African-born Canadian mom, Kirsten Jessiman, a fabulous 1/2 marathon mother who champions raising money for autism research. Thursday, it’s back to New Jersey, USA to meet our impressive Japan-born mom who’s raising 3 kids and dreams of being a translator one day, Sunny Springer.
Friday, Courtney Cappallo, our world-class homeschooling mother, has the World Moms Blog writers chiming in about manners in our Friday Question! And Saturday, we’re running Part II of our “Saturday Special Edition” by the brave Maggie Ellison, who is reporting on discovering that her son has special needs, from the low country of South Carolina, USA.

We’ve wrapped up an exciting launch week, here, at World Moms Blog!
To our surprise, we were promoted to the front page of WordPress by their editors on our SECOND Day with “A Lost Piece of Americana”, and we had over 1,000 hits in one day!
We are truly grateful to be off to such a great start, and we hope we can continue to provide our readers with interesting material. Stick with us!
We return on Monday in Cape Cod in Massachusetts, USA to hear all about our World Moms Blog writer, Courtney Cappallo’s, experiences in homeschooling. Then on Tuesday, we cross the Atlantic ocean and head to Cornwall in the UK to hear from writer, Jen Warren. Wednesday you’ll find us back on the west coast of the USA in Seattle, Washington with Eva Fannon, and on Thursday we’re back east in New York City with Allison Charleston.
We’ve got a fun travel plan set up for next week, and we hope you will join us for the ride!
