This week’s question comes from World Moms Blog writer Multitasking Mumma. She asks,
“What is your favorite way to spend a Saturday?”
Check out what some of our World Moms had to say…
Maggie Ellison of South Carolina, USA writes:
“My favorite Saturdays are the ones where we wake up slowly, have our coffee, make breakfast, head to the beach for the day, eat some seafood for dinner and have a few drinks. Sun kissed and happy!!”
Multitasking Mumma of Ontario, Canada writes:
“I love the Saturdays when we have no plans, we know that no one is going to pop in, and we are on our own schedule.”
Dainty Mom of Philippines writes:
“I love Saturdays! When we can, we can go to the organic market, after which we can play in the open field just beside it. We live in a big, busy, noisy city, so being able to go out during the weekend, get fresh veggies and play out in the open with our son is refreshing. This Saturday, we’re going out of town to the mountains for some cool air!”
Asha of Nigeria writes:
“In the morning we watch the kids play soccer at their school while I drink a giant cup of coffee. Then we bum around at home, doing projects around the house. We just moved a few months ago and are still unpacking. Later we head to the pool. My husband watches the kids while I swim laps, then we all eat a late lunch together. The weather in Nigeria is hot year round so it is usually sunny and gorgeous. We come home, shower, eat dinner, and go to bed happy.”
Karyn Van Der Zwet of New Zealand writes:
“Asleep. OK, hanging out outside in the garden with the boys playing nearby and Craig pottering in the shed. Friends popping around for coffee and <gasp> reading a book.”
Mamma Simona of South Africa writes:
“I actually like it best when hubby and kids go out and leave me alone at home with my favourite book and/or “chick flick” so that I can enjoy them guilt free! :)”
The Alchemist of India writes:
“My perfect Saturday is when I have no chores to do around the house, no routines, no cooking, no nothing. Just wake up late, eat breakfast (I don’t want to be the person to make/cook it… ), laze around, eat lunch, maybe a book to cuddle up with, have pizza for dinner and then cuddle up and sleep. For the record, I am still waiting for my perfect Saturday to happen.”
What about you…what is your idea of a perfect Saturday?

In a robe doing absolutely nothing.
That sounds wonderful Laotian Commotion, but sadly I know that would never be a reality in my house 🙁
I’ve been going for my OB-GYN appointments every other Saturday early morning, since I was 28 weeks pregnant, and now at nearly 36 weeks, will be going every week.
So a perfect Saturday would be to sleep in, wake up for a lazy lunch and hang out with the family!
Even without having been going to OB-GYN appointments, that’s my idea of a perfect Saturday Alison!
