When did you first become a mother?
I will become a mother at the end of June. At the moment, I am carrying a huge egg-shaped belly!
Where in the world do you live? And, are you from there?
I live in Rome, Italy, and I was born here. I used to live in New York (two years) and Paris (two years), which makes me kind of a gipsy.
My family and life are now in Rome ,and it’s definitely a pleasant place to live in for both, children and adults.
What language(s) do you speak?
I speak Italian (of course), English, French and a little bit of Spanish.
I really like to learn languages and, for some reason, it comes really easy to me.
However, the writing part gets a little more difficult sometimes.
Are you a stay-at-home mom or do you work?
I have my own firm as an Architect and Interior Designer. At the moment, I have to slow down a little. But, as soon as the baby is born, I will try to go back to my previous routine. Well…with some main changes, I guess!
Why do you blog/write?
Just because I like to write!
I also recently found out that the international blogger community is much more interesting than the Italian one. There are more chances to virtually meet people and to share experiences.
I love it!
How would you say that you are different from other mothers?
Maybe because I am not a mother yet. I am full of doubts and questions. Very few answers. I basically walk with a gigantic question mark placed on my head.
Plus, the fact that I lived in different countries gives me many perspectives of how people see things. This is good because I can write about life under different point of views.
What do you view as the challenges of raising a child in today’s world?
Well, I think it will be hard. Everything goes by so fast. Before I got pregnant, I hardly found time for my work and family. Now, adding a child to all this, makes me wonder: HOW AM I GOING TO DO IT ALL?! No answers at all at the moment.
How did you find World Moms Blog?

And, well, as for going back to your previous routine after the baby is born….I’ll just say that it will be a new state of normal that will get easier as time goes by. And if you are the independent type, such as myself, you will have to learn to ask for help — and that is TOTALLY okay 🙂
the photographer and the belly keeps thanking you all!! 🙂
YAY for Mom in Rome!!!
Mom in Rome,
Welcome to World Moms Blog! We are very excited to have added Italy to the blog!
I look forward to hearing more about your life when the baby arrives. And, I think you must at some point, share that picture of those 20 baby shoes that your daughter owns already pre-birth! Too cute!
Veronica 🙂
Great photo! Let me tell you the one thing that not nearly enough people told me when I was pregnant: IT’S SO MUCH FUN. Sure, you’ll lose sleep and the baby screams a lot and yada yada but it’s so. much. fun.
