This week’s question comes from World Moms Blog writer Maggie Ellison.  She asked our writers,

“What do you do on a Mom’s Night Out?”

Check out what some of our World Moms had to say…

Maggie Ellison of South Carolina, USA writes:
“Last Mom’s night out, we went to a place where you paint a picture together and drink wine. It was tons of fun!! I’d do it again in a heartbeat!”

Jennifer Burden of New Jersey, USA writes:
“Usually we meet in a restaurant that is BYOB (Bring Your Own Booze). Not all restaurants in NJ have a liquor license, so the moms that want to have an alcoholic drink can bring a bottle of wine. My local mother’s club likes to try different cuisines and new restaurants!

But does it really matter where we are? We’re out on our own with our friends!! Woohoo!”

ThirdEyeMom of Minnesota, USA writes:
“I go out to dinner at one of our many awesome restaurants in the cities which I never get to go to and have wine, laugh and giggle with the ladies. We try also to not talk about the kids!”

Dainty Mom of Philippines writes:
“We’ve not really had nights out — more like brunches! But in the few times we’ve gone out, it’s over mocktails. :)”

Hamakkomommy of Japan writes:
“I haven’t had a night out since my son was born seven years ago. On the days when both children are at school, sometimes I go have coffee with a friend.”

Kyla P’an of Massachusetts, USA writes:
“I don’t have a regular group I get together with, instead I go out with several different groups (school moms, church moms, moms group pals, mom only movie club members) that pull them together sporadically. Evenings out include dinner and drinks, movies, tennis and even an occasional art class (at a nearby paint bar). Sometimes I find these MNOs even more valuable for me (and my sanity levels) than date nights with my own hubby. Is that wrong? :-s”

Meredith of Nigeria writes:
“Moms’ nights out are usually at a great restaurant with great drinks and great friends!! But, it really doesn’t matter where we are…..we get to laugh, give support and have a fun time together….kid free!!! :)”

Eva Fannon of Washington State, USA writes:
“I don’t think my mom friends and I get to do these enough!  We usually do dinner and drinks and some other activity – last time it was bowling.”

Karyn Van Der Zwet of New Zealand writes:
“Drink wine and cackle – a lot!!”

Salma of Ontario, Canada writes:
“Mom’s night out…what’s that?  Hmmm, if I did do a mom’s night out, I would dress up and have a fancy dinner at a really nice restaurant.”

Mamma Simona of South Africa writes:
“Now that my kids are teens, it’s more a case of “Mom’s Night In” (while everyone else goes out)!  I enjoy my time alone to either read or watch “sappy” movies!  When I do go out without the kids it’s usually a dinner at a restaurant with my husband and/or friends.”

What about you…what do you and your mom friends do on a night off?

And do you have a question you would like to pose to our WMB writers?  If so, email us at wmbsidebareditor@gmail.com to see what they have to say.

Don’t forget to come back tomorrow to check out the travel itinerary for next week!
